Robert Schulenberg

CROSS PLAINS - Robert Schulenberg, age 63, of Cross Plains, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024. He was born on Dec. 4, 1960, in Madison, the son of Robert and Marie (Kessenich) Schulenberg.

Rob was blessed with two sons, Jamie and Joshua with former wife, Michelle "Micki" Kaskowski.

Rob was employed as a concrete finisher until his retirement in 2019. After many years of hard work, Rob continued to stay active in the industry, working various side jobs after retirement. Some of these jobs included tree trimming, snow removal and cement jobs alongside friends and family.

Rob’s faithful canine, Kayde was by his side through thick and thin. The two inseparable friends found joy in daily walks and the quiet moments of companionship. Rob also enjoyed spending time with his friends, sharing laughter, stories, and the thrill of trying their luck at the slot machines.

Rob will be missed by his sister, Linda (Scott) Hiekel; brother, Tom Schulenberg, five nieces, Kristi (Santi) Martin, Karen Neuenfeldt, Amy (Tommy) Lindert, Kimberly Hiekel and Elyssa Schulenberg; nephew, Adam Schulenberg; and four great-nephews, Bronson, Dawson, Nico and Dalton. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jamie and Joshua Schulenberg; sisters, Laura Loomis and Lisa Schulenberg; and brother, John Schulenberg.

Rob will be laid to rest at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.  No formal, public service will be held. Family will hold a private graveside burial. Online condolences may be made at  www.gundersonfh.com.
