Obituary
MADISON - Arimanda A. Klatt, age 73, of Madison, passed away in the comfort of her own home, and surrounded by family on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024. She was born on May 23, 1951, in Beloit, Wis., shortly after her family’s arrival to the United States from Latvia. She was the daughter of Spiridons and Alma (Zanderson) Amosovs.
Arimanda attended Beloit High School, received her bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison, and master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from UW-Whitewater. She worked as a speech therapist with children with developmental disabilities, but her true calling was motherhood.
Arimanda married David Huebschen on June 12, 1976, and together they had their daughter, Maggie. She later married Dr. Ken Klatt on April 29, 1989, and had two sons, Kenneth and Karl. Her greatest joy was being a mother and a grandmother. She was happiest when surrounded by the laughter and embraces of her family, who were the essence of her world. She treasured the time being able to host her extended family’s Thanksgiving gatherings for over 20 years.
Arimanda will be dearly missed by her husband, Ken; daughter, Maggie (Jacob Kitzman) Huebschen; sons, Kenneth (Elizabeth Wendt) Klatt and Karl (Corinne) Klatt; grandchildren, Arthur, Edith and Nora Kitzman, and Hallie Klatt; sisters, Vineta Chen and Jasmine (Christopher) Sia; her beloved dog, Bart; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; late husband, David Huebschen; aunt, Emma Ese; and brother-in-law, Lifu Chen.
A private burial will be held with family at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
The family wishes to extend their deepest thanks to the dedicated staff at Agrace HospiceCare.
Memorials may be gifted in Arimanda's name to the Parkinson's Foundation or the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
