Robert "Bob" Darrow, Jr.

First met Cap at a ballpark (of course) in the late '70s. Later played with/for him from 1986 on and enjoyed every minute of it. Bob was generous to a fault. A better sponsor you could not find but he was an even better person. Rest well, Cap.

I am terribly sorry to learn of Bob's passing. I am from the Class of 70 also. I remember a great football player and basketball player. And as always alphabetical order in study hall, he was seated in front of me...Darrow before Derendinger. I saw him a few times in the Mt. Horeb area and at ball games. I grew up in New Glarus playing a "lot of ball" with Bob. He was always the toughest of competitors, and I always felt fortunate he was on my team. We had a special bond having been co-captains of the NGHS 1969 football team. R.I.P. my friend...you have now made the end zone, I'll see you back in the huddle soon enough.
