Obituary
MARSHALL - Matthew Alan Fry (Matt Matt), left us on July 27, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, at the age of 29. He was born on May 25, 1995, in Madison, Wis., the son of Phillip and Brenda (Pulver) Fry. Matt was a beloved dad, son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle, and friend. He was a graduate of Marshall High School in 2013, where he was a proud Cardinal.
Matt was a jack of all trades and held many jobs. He loved going for walks, mowing the lawn, talking with anyone who would listen, and spending time with his kids. He valued his friends and family deeply, always looking out for them and helping whenever they needed. Matt was known for his charm, kindness, sense of humor, and loyalty. He loved the outdoors, specifically his yard and his flag pole, wearing shorts with work boots year round, and listening to Luke Bryan on repeat.
Matt is survived by his mother, Brenda; daughter, Zoey; son, Blake; siblings, Ron (Heather) Fry, Rick (Jennifer) Fry, Raquel (James) Hansen, Heather (Kyle) Wallace, Kevin (Allison) Fry and Andrew Fry; and numerous nieces, nephews (also known to them as Uncle donkey), aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip; and grandmother, Phyllis; and many other loved ones. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
His family would like to thank UW Health, Carbon Cancer Center, and SSM Health Oncology for their love and care. We also like to thank Dr. Kenkre, and Dr. Levin, and all the nurses who cared for Matthew.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, 2024, and also from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
