Obituary
OREGON - Marc James Jones, age 31, of Oregon, Wis., was called Home on Saturday, July 27, 2024, from a motorcycle accident in Milwaukee, Wis., while attending the Harley Davidson Homecoming Festival with friends.
Marc was born on May 21, 1993, at Meriter Hospital, in Madison, Wis. He grew up in Evansville, Wis., and graduated from Evansville High School. Marc had many Jobs in his young life because he liked to try different fields, from driving across the country in a semi to his new love of operating a cement pump truck.
Marc learned the value of a dollar at the young age of 12, when he became an entrepreneur. He bought a garden tractor with a plow and set up clientele for snow removal. He recruited friends and brothers for cheap labor. Marc was able to climb into any type of vehicle or machinery and know how to operate it.
Marc was the brightest light in the room. He was the life of everyone’s life with his mesmerizing eyes, contagious smile and mischievous laugh. He had an old school heart and lived life to the fullest. If you were not Marc’s friend, you would be, at the end of the conversation.
Marc was a serious Johnny Cash fan, a snowmobile enthusiast and an avid collector of vinyl records, antiques, milk bottles, vintage memorabilia, Pyrex and Corning ware, BMX bikes and old trucks. Marc had an eye for things worth money.
Marc had dreams of restoring his 1987 Dodge truck with a lift. He wanted to place ‘80s memorabilia like a magazine and such on the seat and take it to car shows.
Marc loved to cook. His specialties were his famous meatloaf and chicken alfredo.
Marc was welcomed home by his grandparents, John E. Jones, Barbara J. Stone, Thomas T. Stone, and Paul P. Triggs; aunt, Julie A. Jones; and two uncles, David and Francis Jones.
Marc said goodbye to his parents, Russ and Marsha Jones; brothers, John (Dana) Triggs and Russell (Taylor) Jones; granny, Deborah J. Jones; his dog, Diesel Jones; niece, Kaci Jones; nephews, Aiden Pagel, Chandler Wendt and Wyatt Wendt; and his little buddy, Wyatt Jones, who considered his Uncle Marc as a super hero with lots of cool toys, his favorite one being Marc's “Monster Truck."
Marc also said goodbye to many favorite aunts, uncles, cousins and hundreds, if not thousands of friends.
He will be greatly missed by all of us.
