Obituary
MADISON - Douglas E. Damon born a twin to Edward and Ann Damon on Feb. 24, 1962, in Madison, Wis., passed away on July 26, 2024, of a traumatic brain injury following a fall. Thru this tragedy, Doug was an organ donor and will continue to live thru those who receive his organs.
Doug was a 1980 LaFollette High School graduate and lived most of his life in the Madison area. He primarily spent his career in laser printing and parts sales. Doug enjoyed fishing. He especially enjoyed family trips to Hayward, Wis., where he spent countless hours in his boat on the Chippewa Flowage.
Doug is survived by his father, Edward Damon of Madison; his twin brother, Dave (Tammy) Damon of DeForest; and his sister, Carla (Kevin) Buntrock of Madison. He is further survived by his nephews, Justin (friend, Allison Parsons) Buntrock, Ross (Alyx) Damon and their son, Levi, and Shawn (fiancée, Nicole Bakken) Buntrock. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Damon; and niece, Amy Damon (fiancé Brandon) Slattery.
A private family service will be held. The family wished to express a special thank you to all who helped Doug, especially the Med-Flight Team, Madison EMT’s, staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, the transplant/donation team and the many friends and family who were part of this journey.
