Obituary

POYNETTE - Kathleen M. King, age 78, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at SSM Health-St. Mary's Hospital.


She was born on March 17, 1946, in Poynette, WI, the daughter of Jesse and Genevieve (Worthing) Tomlinson.


Kathleen was a 1964 graduate of Poynette High School. On March 25, 1966, she was united in marriage to Dale King while he served with the US Army in Germany.  Together they owned and operated the Arlington Inn Tavern until Dale died in 1994. She then was employed with Oscar Mayer until her retirement and then continued working by assisting her daughter Nichole.


Kathleen had a variety of interests including watching Packer and Badger football, boating on the lake, and loved most, spending time with family.


Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Nichole (Robert Radewan) Koepp; her son, Todd King; four grandchildren, Kyle (Deona) Koepp, Colin (Paige) Koepp, Tyler (Niki) King, and Cody King; two great-grandchildren, Ellinor and Laken Koepp; her sister, Betty Hanson; and other relatives and many friends.


In addition to her husband Dale, she was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Susan Tomlinson.


Graveside services will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at DEKORRA LUTHERAN CEMETERY.  A gathering celebrating Kathleen's life will follow at the Arlington Inn Tavern beginning at 1:00 pm.
 

Memorials may be made to SSM-Hospice, the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Assn.
