DEERFIELD / STOUGHTON - Carol Ann Dvorak, age 80, of Stoughton, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Sept. 8, 1943, in Stoughton, the daughter of Howard and Anne (Wedvick) DeGolier.
Carol graduated from Deerfield High School in 1961. She was united in marriage to David Dvorak on April 11, 1964, at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member. Carol and David recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Carol loved going to her cabin up north for 24 years and spending time with her family. She and Dave liked to go for drives and travel around the United States and enjoyed watching Badgers and Packers sports. She loved her shopping trips with the girls and tending to her flowers. Carol also enjoyed baking, making Lefse with her sisters, and decorating for the holidays. She was competitive and loved playing card games and board games (Kick in the Pants was her favorite).
Carol is survived by her husband, Dave; daughters, Ronda (Steve) Erickson and Jill (Troy) Coffey; granddaughters, Ashley (Erik) Meyer and Kailee Coffey; grandsons, Austin Erickson, Cole (Ciara Doremus) Erickson, Kyle (Donna) LaBarge and Tyler Coffey; great-grandchildren, Owen Meyer, Bridget Meyer, Isaac Meyer and Karter LaBarge; brother, Curt (Nancy) DeGolier; and sisters, Annette Hayes and Janet (Steve) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Marcia; and special dog, George.
A funeral service will be held at ST. PAUL'S LIBERTY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3494 Oak Park Road, Deerfield, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, with the Rev. Holly Slater presiding. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2024, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
