Obituary
STOUGHTON - Marion Irene (Johnson) Jackson passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend.
Marion loved to take care of the people she loved. Together with her husband, Lowell Jackson, they had four children, Debbie, Douglas, Dennis and David.
Marion dedicated her life to making sure everyone around her was taken care of. She was a very attentive mother and wife. Keeper of all the things important; from her children’s first report cards, to their last, to photos of every occasion, certificates and anything special.
Her house was always immaculate. She kept everything very neat and tidy, and if you offered a helping hand, it was unlikely she would accept. Marion liked to have things just her own way and it made her happy to take care of it herself. I remember as a child spending my summers with her. She cooked breakfast every morning, at anyone’s request, and once any meal was finished, she immediately cleaned the kitchen back to its tidy order.
She did all her own yard work as well, mowing, trimming, landscaping and weed pulling. In the winter, she shoveled her own snow. If her boys offered to help, she would decline.
Marion also devoted her life to working at Skaalen Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, as a Nurse’s Aide for 28 years. (Where she later spent her last days). She took pride in taking care of others no matter who they were.
To know Marion was to know a selfless person who loved deeply. She is missed beyond words and we are all lucky to have been a part of her life.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Jackson; and all four of her children, Debbie Jackson, Douglas Jackson, Dennis Jackson and David Jackson.
Marion is survived by her granddaughters, Dawn M. (Jason) Castro (Jackson) of Florida, two great-grandchildren, Cole and Calvin; Alicia J. (Rickey) Briney (Jackson) of Kansas, four great-grandchildren, Jaelynne, Avery, Grayson and Autumn; Chelsey (Jonathan) Veira (Jackson) of Florida, two great-grandchildren, Skyla and JJ; and grandson, Lucas Jackson of Kansas.
