Obituary

OREGON - Loving husband, father and grandfather (AKA Papa) Patrick Joseph Bradley, 63, of Oregon, Wis., passed away at home on Thursday, July 4, 2024, after battling bronchial pneumonia. Patrick was born on Dec. 18, 1960, to John and Helen (Judkins) Bradley. Patrick grew up in Belmont, Wis., and would be the first to tell you about how proud he was to be from there. He graduated Belmont High School in 1979 and attended UW-Platteville after graduation.

He moved to Madison, Wis., and there he met and married the love of his life, Donna (Gallagher) Bradley on Oct. 6, 1984. They were married at St. Philomena Church in Belmont. They were getting ready for a trip to Ireland to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.

Patrick and Donna were blessed with two beautiful children, Sara and Zachary. Patrick's pride and joy were his two best buddies, his grandsons, Samson and Kellen Steine. Patrick was a spiritual person and had his own relationship with God.

Patrick was a natural salesman and spent the majority of his career in the sales industry. After retirement he worked part-time delivering auto parts and sure enjoyed meeting the customers.

Patrick was proud to be a die-hard sports fan. His love for the Badgers, Brewers, Packers and Bucks kept him entertained for hours watching, reading sports books and collecting baseball cards. He enjoyed coaching Sara in youth sports and a highlight of his life was watching Zachary win the national championship with his wheelchair basketball team. His favorite past-time was going to watch his grandson, Samson, play basketball, football and little league. You could always hear Papa cheering from the stands. He would go to Zumbini and story-time with Kellen and he will be missed when Kellen starts to play sports. Papa was always up for trips to the zoo, Children's Museum, swimming and of course going for ice cream with Samson and Kellen.

Patrick also loved all kinds of music and some of his best memories were going to concerts with his children.

As proud as Pat was of his big family, he was blessed with so many dear friends and special classmates and always cherished those friendships.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Donna; children, Sara (Bradford) Steine and Zachary Bradley; and grandchildren, Samson and Kellen Steine. He is further survived by his siblings, Jean Ann Willborn, John (Jean Ann) Bradley, Karen Roder, Joani (Ron) Kittoe and Jerry (Norita) Bradley; and special aunt and godmother, Josephine Foley. Patrick was the proud uncle or famously known as UP to more than 20 nieces and nephews and more than 30 great-nieces and nephews.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, John and Helen Bradley; his sister, Reenie; and brother-in-law, Larry Willborn.

He finally “Let the Old Man In” against Toby's wishes. As Patrick would always say, "God Bless America," so it is fitting he passed on the 4th of July.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Mother of Consolation Catholic Church, 651 N. Main St., Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024, with Father David Wanish presiding. Visitation will be held at Gunderson Oregon Funeral and Cremation Care, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024, and also at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. We are very sorry to hear of Pat's passing. He was a great friend to have during our high school years. Nancy and I were honored to have him in our wedding (way back then...). He was always the life of a party (and there were many!) Hopefully he will be allowed to continue being the life of the party in his "New Life". God Bless America and Pat Bradley!! Our condolences, Royal and Nancy Atkinson- Bend, Oregon

Pat was a truly good man. I originally met him through bowling, then re-connected years later when we both worked at UW hospital. He never had a bad word to say about anyone. My deepest condolences to his loved ones.
