Angela Sue Leatherberry

DEFOREST - Angela “Angie” Leatherberry, age 54, of DeForest, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024. She was born on Jan. 17, 1970, in Madison, the daughter of Floyd and Frances (Davis) Frydenlund.

Angie was the youngest of eight siblings, though she remained very close with her mother. Prior to graduating, she spent a lot of time traveling with her retired parents, even spending a year in McAllen, Texas. They ended up back in Madison, where she graduated from Madison West High School with the class of 1988.

After getting engaged in 1992 to Jon Leatherberry, they proudly owned and operated Centerline Tire Service in Madison for 15 years. Jon and Angie later married on July 17, 1996. Upon the sale of Centerline Tire Service in 2010, she worked as the general manager at Comstock Tire and Auto. During her tenure with Comstock, she greatly enjoyed serving the community and creating lasting relationships with customers and vendors.

Angie enjoyed going to craft shows, car shows, and supper clubs. She loved relaxing by the pool, listening to all types of music (but especially Reba), and spending time with family, friends, and her dogs.

Angie is survived by her husband, Jon; daughter, Alyssa Leatherberry; two brothers, Gerald Frydenlund and Tom (Mary) Frydenlund; four sisters, Patricia Frydenlund, Pamela (John Burns) Herbrand, Deborah (Michael) Good and Cheryl Frydenlund; and four beloved dogs, Zoey, Buddy, Bentley and Kobe. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Frances; and sister, Judith Johnson.

A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
