Jim was such a wonderful human being and friend. A great guitarist, too! So many great memories of him and Bette over the years. We are sorry to hear of his passing but trust he went straight to heaven. Condolences to Bette, Damon, Justin, Megan and the entire Oeth clan.

As Jim's brother and sister-in-law, we are sadly missing him now. Biking, hiking, camping, canoeing are fond memories as well as family togetherness. Home building with Dad, Jim and Steve was a big part of our early years. Jim was a master at turkey carving at our Thanksgiving gatherings. We know Jim's final destination is the finest of all. Although I haven’t seen Jim for many years, I remember him as a neighbor and little brother of my friend Dennis. The Oeth family were my neighbors in the early 1960s. We enjoyed many good times together as kids growing up in the St. Columbkille parish. Denny and I created the first cable radio station between our homes - KHOS (the Hemmer-Oeth System). I’m sure Jim endured our cornball jokes and teenage nonsense. The Oeth family will always remain a great memory for me.

Dear Betty, I was deeply saddened to hear about Jim’s passing. Jim’s positivity and spirit were truly remarkable, and he stands out in my mind and heart when I think of the trips to Death Valley I made over the years. Coaching both of you to ride 105 miles in such a challenging environment was an incredible experience, and your dedication to the cause of diabetes made it all worth it. Jim’s enthusiasm and warmth left a lasting impact on everyone he met. I will always cherish the memories of those rides and the time spent with both of you. Please know that my thoughts are with you during this difficult time. With heartfelt sympathy, Jay
