Obituary

CAMBRIDGE - Phillip J. "Papa” Tellefson, passed away on Saturday June 15, 2024, at his home in Cambridge, Wis.

Phil was born in 1967 and was preceded in death by his father, Phillip “Guben" Tellefson. He is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Kleven; former wife, Juli Tellefson; daughter, Lisa (David) Manson; son, Jacob Tellefson; grandchildren, Vivianne and William Manson; and many uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Phil graduated from Stoughton High School in 1986 and was married almost 30 years to his high school sweetheart. He was a hard-working family man and retired after many years from Oscar Mayer. Phil had a great sense of humor and was an avid music lover. He could talk all day about his favorite band, the Beatles. He showed unconditional love to his family, and always made sure to say, "l love you" after every phone call. Phil was never happier than when he was promoted to Papa. He enjoyed the time he had with his grandchildren and loved to quiz his granddaughter on her Bible verses. His favorite being, John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Phil's children would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to those who tried to help him with his battle, especially to - Steve Nelson, Jeff Metzler, Steve Metzler, and our mother, Juli Tellefson. We thank you and want you to know how appreciated you were, by our dad and us. Thank you.

I will never forget our many trips to see Beatles cover bands. From the Park Ponderosa to the Pabst theater, you took me along and shared your love of this great band. Love you Phil! We will never forget you!

My deepest Sympathy to his devoted Mother, Mary Ellen. Before Phil was born, his Father, Philip died of an allergic reaction to Penicillin in a clinic! His mother gave birth to Philip J., & loved him so very deeply every day of his life! May God give her His loving peace! She was there for Phil through all of his family sorrows. Phil loved his mother so very much! He is now at Peace in God’s Heavenly home. Love & Hugs, Donna MacKenzie
