Obituary

MADISON - Shannon Marie Schleicher, age 55, of Madison, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024, at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation. She was born on Aug. 30, 1968, the daughter of Jerry and Patricia (Gilbertson) Phillips.


Shannon graduated from Monroe High School. She married David Schleicher on April 29, 2000, in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Madison. Shannon worked as an electronics technician for Ultra Tech, for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.


Shannon enjoyed crocheting, camping with her husband and nieces, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. She will be dearly missed by her beloved dogs, Gene and Melody.


Shannon is survived by her husband, David; mother, Betty Rackow; father, Jerry; brother, Allen (Sandy) Phillips; half-sister, Joelle Phillips; and half-brother, Bart Phillips. She was preceded in death by her biological mother, Patricia.


A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 noon on Friday, June 28, 2024. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.  A luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home.
 

The family wishes to thank Marla Robinson, Jake and Lucy Altwig, Agrace HospiceCare and Nazareth for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Shannon and I were friends in school. We had a lot of great laugh’s together. She was a great friend. She carries a special place in my heart. I will remember the good times. Thoughts and prayers of comfort to Shannon’s family always.
