Harriet Lucille Billman
January 10, 1937 - June 08, 2024
Obituary
Harriet L. Rose-Billman, beloved daughter of Dave Isaacson and Gertrude Laura Moore, was born on January 10th, 1937, in Hood River, Oregon. She went to be with Jesus on June 8th, 2024. Harriet lived with her daughter, Cynthia, in Lodi, WI. When she woke the morning of her passing, she knew that God was calling her home, reaching out to a friend to ask them to pray for her as she felt the pull of her attachment here, regardless of her good health. Wrapping herself in the blanket her daughter, Susan, had gotten her that had the message “I love you mom” written on it, she fell asleep in her recliner. Harriet found her wings as she dreamed and flew to the golden gates. A day she had always said would be her best day, the day she finally would get to meet God.
Harriet was preceded in death by her dear mother, father, first husband Richard (father of her children), husband Floyd, sister Hazel, and son Mark. She is survived by her loving siblings Harold, Helen, Janet, Dick, and Karen, as well as her children Tony, Chris, Cynthia, Susan, and Johnny. Her legacy extends through her 20 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Harriet's life was a testament to compassion and service. She dedicated herself to enriching the lives of others, leaving an indelible mark on the world. Her commitment to community was evident in her founding of the Gospel Lighthouse Outreach, a food share program that has provided her community with support for 40 years and is now carried on by her daughters Cynthia and Susan. Through her efforts, she touched the lives of countless individuals, extending kindness to those on migrant camps and Indian reservations.
Her passion for education led her to establish her own preschool in Lemon Grove, California, where she nurtured young minds with love and wisdom. Harriet's missionary work in Mexico and Thailand further exemplified her devotion to serving others and spreading the message of hope and faith.
A prominent member of her church, Harriet's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She shared her spiritual journey with others, teaching children about the love of God and the importance of kindness and compassion.
Outside of her charitable endeavors, Harriet found joy in simple pleasures. An avid reader and skilled seamstress. She found solace and fulfillment in the pages of books and the gentle rhythm of the needle and thread.
Harriet will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering faith will continue to inspire and uplift those who follow in her footsteps. May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the light of her enduring love.
