Obituary
MADISON - Ann Elizabeth (Lindemann) Amera entered into eternal life on May 28, 2024. She was born on Feb. 26, 1936, to Raymond B. and Viola V. (Pickruhn) Lindemann in Beaver Dam, Wis.
Ann was baptized, attended school, and was confirmed at St. Stevens Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. Madison became her home in August 1951, and she joined Eastside Evangelical Lutheran Church. Ann graduated from East High School in 1954. A blind date brought Ann and Charles R. Amera together, and they married June 14, 1958.
Ann’s greatest joy and privilege was being a stay-at-home mom to their three children. She was happily involved in school, church, 4-H, and various organizations. She also extended herself to care of her elder relatives, with softness and respect. Grandchildren were a blessing to Ann, and she took care of them, attended their events and activities, and taught them to be kind and positive. Ann took great pleasure in being with family. History, reading, traveling, and collecting antiques also filled Ann with joy.
Ann is survived by her three children, Amy (Greg) Strangstalien, Scott Amera and Lori (Jeffrey) Taschwer; six grandchildren, Lindsay (Logan) Strander, Alyssa (Michael) Reitmeyer, James (Callie) Amera, Benjamin Amera, Gabrielle Taschwer and Samuel Taschwer; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Strander, Noah Strander, Ellena Amera and Emmery Amera. She was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Lindemann.
A Christian funeral service will be held at EASTSIDE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2310 Independence Lane, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024. A visitation will begin at the church at 9:30 a.m. and a light luncheon will follow the funeral service at the church. Mrs. Charles R. Amera will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be given to Eastside Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
