Obituary
Stoughton - Raymond Robert Manion, age 36, of Stoughton, tragically passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center. He was born on March 3, 1988, in Madison, grew up in Oregon, Wis., on his family’s farm and graduated from Oregon High School in 2006.
Ray joined the U.S. Air Force in 2009 as a civil engineer. He was stationed in Tucson, Ariz., and was deployed several times until he transitioned to the Air National Guard. Ray was a proud driver for Gordy’s Concrete Pumping for eight years, operating the “Make a Wish” truck, which he helped design. Ray’s passion was his farm and the life he created with his wife, Ashley. He loved riding horses, competing with Ashley in horse events and quad racing.
Ray shared his love for quad racing not only with his family but also while providing guidance for younger racers over his 20 years of racing. His daughters, Kara and Kaydence, filled him with pride and joy. Ray was a proud family man, a person you could depend on, and he would be there for anyone.
