Obituary
MADISON - Chung-Ho “Hope” Chen, age 79, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on June 24, 1944, in Shanghai, China, the daughter of Po and Yu Jua Chen.
Hope worked in accounting for the University of Wisconsin’s Physical Plant, where she made many lasting friendships.
Hope is survived by her brothers, Daniel (Koshyan) Chen and Steve (Yeuhling) Chen; sisters, Chung-An “Ann” (Charles Cedergren) Chen, Chung-Fu “Amy” Chen and Chung-Hsing “Cora” Chen; nephews, Fernando (Joyce) Chen, Brian (Kirstin) Lee, Matthew (Linlin) Cedergren, Sherman (Elizabeth) Carll, Timothy (Deborah) Carll, Andrew Chen, Brandon (Helen) Chen and Michael Chen; niece, Sara Chen (Mitch Wong); and great-nieces and great-nephews, Isabella, Alice, Braden, Carson, Eloise, Talia, Everett and Ethan. She was preceded in death by her parents, Po and Yu Jua Chen; and brother-in-law, Charles Carll.
In keeping with Hope's wishes, no services will be held.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated and caring doctors, nurses and staff at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics and the Fresenius Medical Care-Madison Central Dialysis Center.
