Obituary

MADISON - Steven Buehler, age 52, of Madison, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at home. He was born on May 12, 1971, in Madison, the son of Earl and Martha "Sue" (Larson) Buehler.

Steven graduated from Memorial High School in 1989 and from UW-Madison with a degree in communication.

Steven’s love for soccer was not only a pastime but a talent that blossomed at Memorial High School and eventually took him across the ocean to Europe, where he played for an elite team for six weeks. In Chicago, Steven worked in the hospitality industry for 26 years and then established a dog-walking business before returning home to Madison. He returned to Wisconsin four years ago due to health issues.

Steven was a fervent Badgers fan. Cooking was one of his greatest passions and he was an excellent chef and bartender.

Steven is survived by his mother, Martha “Sue” Buehler; three brothers, Gregg (Kimberly) Buehler, Gary Buehler and Mark (Shawn Jefferson) Buehler; niece, Megan (Peter Brazas) Buehler-Brazas and two children; nephew, Alex (Carly) Buehler and one child; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and his Bull Terrier, Lenny. He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Buehler.

I really liked Steve!! Down to Earth, and a good sence of humor. I called him "Bartender" and would yell it from a distance if I could. I so sorry for your loss. He was so full of live and heart Eric A coworker and co-driver at UPS
