I got to know Mike through the Legion family. He was a special guy, very helpful. We will miss him. Wishing his family the best in these difficult times.

Had the honor to play Cross Plains home talent baseball with Mike for about 10 years...he was a confident and fierce competitor. The opposing teams did not care much for Mike but I appreciated him in our lineup. A championship was won in 1977 with him a major contributor. Rest in peace Mike. Gil Niesen

I was the bat boy for the Cross Plains Home Talent baseball team, Mike was like Pete Rose in many ways. He worked hard, practice was fun to him and he played all out every game. Mike was a guy the other teams loved to hate, his passion and determination was always at top level, I would always wait to go fill the water jugs because when he came to bat he would make contact every time and hit some really long bombs.
