MADISON - Constance L. “Connie” Schmidler, age 73, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. She was born on Aug. 14, 1950, in Sheboygan, Wis., the daughter of William and Ruth (Bast) Schmidler.
As a child, Connie loved hanging around her father’s business, Glander's drug store. She graduated from Sheboygan North High School and UW-Madison with a B.S. degree and the UW-Madison School of Business with a master’s degree in marketing. She had a very fulfilling career and made many wonderful friends.
Connie was a fun-loving generous woman with a great sense of humor. She loved music, especially the Rolling Stones and her sister, Betsy Friese, was a real favorite. Connie lived with her longtime friend, John Schumann, in Madison, Wis., for years before she died of natural causes. She had a great Samoyed Husky named “Lulu” and found great pleasures in the simple things in life.
Connie is survived by her sister, Elizabeth "Betsy;” and friend, John. She was preceded in death by her parents.
