Obituary

LODI - Robert J. Barman Jr. made his final delivery from earth on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Agrace HospiceCare from Bulbar ALS.

He was born on December 4, 1958, to Robert and Doris (Benish) Barman Sr.

Bob attended St. Francis School and Wisconsin Heights High School. He also attended UW Short Course and later Diesel Truck Driving School in Sun Prairie, Wis.

On August 2, 1980, he married his co-pilot in life Kathy Maier at St. John’s Church, Waunakee.

Bob and Kathy farmed for many years in Verona and then bought their farm in Lodi before he became a truck driver. He and his best dog friend Buddy put on many miles hauling any and everything throughout most of the U.S.

Bob was very fond of a variety of music but always favored listening to the Kristi B Band. He enjoyed taking his Ford Maverick out for drives especially with his grandkids and even the neighbor kids. Bob took pleasure talking with his trucking buddies. He also enjoyed spending time with family, watching the grandkids sports and taking them to the zoo. Bob was a loving father who would help whenever you needed anything.

Bob is survived by his wife, Kathy; his amazing daughters, Jenny Waldsmith and Sarah (Tony) Blodgett; his energetic grandkids, Keaton Waldsmith, Ayden Blodgett, Carter Waldsmith, and Sofia Blodgett; his siblings, Dave (Jan) Barman, Sandy Nowak, Jim Barman, Tom (Jackie) Barman, and Chuck Barman; his in-laws, Lori (Art) Meinholz; Kevin (Jane) Maier, Scott (Daun) Maier, and Keith (Lynn) Maier; and many family and friends

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Doris Barman, and in-laws, Linus and Ruth Ann Maier.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's Passing, my sincere sympathies to your family. I was just talking today about how much I miss talking with Bob and how he always lit up a room when he walked in. I loved hearing/seeing pictures of his family, we sure could chat all day! He will never be forgotten! Thinking of you all even as time passes. Rest Easy Friends - Warm Regards
