Obituary

MADISON - Born Nov. 22, 1977, to Wanda Jean Howard, Zenobia Terrell Howard was the oldest of two siblings and she prided herself on sharing her knowledge and wisdom with the ones that she loved the most, especially her younger sister, Nate’. During the month of August 1997, the Howard family moved from Chicago, Ill., to Madison, Wis., to start a new journey.

Zenobia excelled at everything that she did. She went on to attend and graduate from West High School where she was on the drill team and met many lifelong friends.  Later she went on to attend Madison College where one of her proudest moments was obtaining her associate degree as a medical laboratory technician. While working in this profession, she found her degree allowed her to obtain a new career opportunity as a health unit coordinator at Meriter Hospital.

Zenobia was an outgoing, active person; she had a love for music, traveling, cooking and being with family. She filled her life with being a wonderful, supportive mother to her only child, Zaryaa, being a wonderful aunt to her nephew, Tayvion, and a wonderful older sister. These special moments that she shared with her family is what filled her with joy.

Sunset: In God's infinite wisdom he called our beloved angel to return home to be with him April 11, 2024. Zenobia is survived by her daughter, Zaryaa Howard; sister, Nate’ Howard (Randie); her loving nephew, Tayvion Howard; her special aunts, Bonnie Hadley, Yvonne Taylor, Beverly Banks and Angela Bates; her uncle, Richard Stewart; her special cousins, Torin Herbert, Irvin Hadley and Jacquetter Hadley; and a host of other family members.

Zenobia also had some very special childhood friends, Rosetta, Kveta, Janelle K, Janelle, Tavaita and Tammy.

Zenobia was one of the strongest individuals I've ever been blessed to know! I witnessed her struggles and accomplishments. Zee would always say, “girl, it's gonna be okay” She would put on her music (Sade) Sweetest Taboo and just vibe out. I was in my math class when I received the news it broke me. I watched her persevere through her schooling ( specifically hematology) and other courses. Yesterday I thought about my finance class and I said this is so hard but I remembered Zee pressing through and completing her degree and it encouraged me. Zenobia is a Queen and a beautiful soul and a great mother to her daughter Zaryaa. Love you sis 💕
