Obituary
MADISON - Patricia "Pat" Marie (Schnurbusch) Sanner, of Madison, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born on February 17, 1939, the daughter of Edward Louis and Myrtle Anita (Helman) Schnurbusch.
On October 27, 1956, she married Ira Dale Sanner. They started life out on the family dairy farm, east of Sun Prairie and ultimately raised seven children together.
Patsy loved to fish and had fond childhood memories of her grandfather teaching her. Memorable fishing trips included numerous trips to Canada and Mexico; but her favorite times were the annual Fox Lake excursions with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pat attended and graduated from Madison East High School. Her skill with numbers and excellent memory helped her in her office position with Dairyland Poultry Inc., in Endeavor and her long career as the self-service postage technician with the United States Postal Service. She retired from the USPS in 2002 after 27 years of service.
Pat is survived by her children, Daniel (Cynthia) Sanner, Timothy (Amy) Sanner, Christopher (Mari-Hannah) Sanner, Kathleen (Scott) Lake, Carolyn (Kelly) Gallagher, Jeffrey (Kristin) Sanner, and Nancy (Todd) Buchholz; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She also had four half-siblings, Jackie and Jonnie Schnurbusch and Tommy and Diane Rendall. She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Donna Brey and Shirley Pittman.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. with a celebration of life service to follow, all at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison. Interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, immediately following the celebration of life service.
