Allison P. Briggs

Obituary
SHEBOYGAN - Our beautiful Allison P. Briggs, age 34, currently of Sheboygan, Wis., passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024. She was born on Nov. 6, 1989, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Mary Briggs-Pomo and Richard Pomo.
Allison graduated from La Follette High School in 2008 with honors. She then attended college and was very proud of several achievements such as a phlebotomist and a CNA. While she had several jobs, her work as a prison guard at the Kettle Moraine Correctional Institution was a love. She enjoyed the intensity of her job as a prison guard, getting to know people and their life stories.
Allison was also very proud of her service in the army national guard and her specialized medical training she received.
She was an avid traveler around the U.S. and places abroad including the U.K., France, Germany, Canada, Mexico with a trip planned to Prague for later this year, and Bali and Thailand next year. The world was her oyster! Allison was also a book fiend, always reading books and recommending them to her friends. And depending on the day she would indulge herself with either red or white wine.
Allison did things her way in her own time. She truly was a trailblazer, an inspiration, a leader, strong, protective, independent, and loved by so many. She made you laugh and believe in yourself.
Allison is survived by her mother, Mary; her father, Richard; brothers, Andrew Briggs, Samuel Pomo and Benjamin Pomo (also Ben’s godmother); sister, Ash Pomo; as well as other members of the Briggs family, Pomo/Verstegen family, and the Timm family, and many good friends. She was preceded in death by her Aunt Mum "Margaret”; grandmother, Bonnie Pomo; great-grandmother, Rose Verstegen; and numerous other loving family members and her pets.
“I always wonder why Birds stay
In the same place
When they can fly Anywhere on the earth.
Then I ask myself the same question.” -Harun Yahya
Oh my Allison, my Allie bear, this loss of your light, your smile, your spirit, is unbearably painful. No one can take your place and there will never be another like you. I love you my beautiful precious sweet baby girl. You were the first to bless me with the title "mother" and I've loved every minute of it and you. Fly high, shine bright, and know you had nothing but love. Until we meet again my daughter keep shining bright.
