LAKE MILLS - Barbara Eve Arbagey, age 83, of Lake Mills, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Alden Estates. She was born on July 28, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Edwin and Corrine (Simpson) Lanthier.
She married Thomas Arbagey on October 19, 1963, in St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Chicago, Ill. Once she moved to Madison, she worked as a salesclerk for Sentry Grocery Store on Cottage Grove Road.
Barbara was an avid reader, and she was always working on a crochet project, making afghan’s and scarves for everyone.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Linda (John) Huttenhoff; son, Eddy (Jeanne) Arbagey; grandchildren, Cathy (Anthony Milliren) Huttenhoff, Patrick Huttenhoff, Mickey (Alisha) Huttenhoff, Katie Arbagey, Ryan Arbagey and Meagan Arbagey; great-grandchildren, Athena and Willow Milliren; and many nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Arbagey; parents, Corrine and Edwin; sister, Cheri Killen; and brother, Mike Lanthier.
A memorial service will be held at QUEEN OF APOSTLES PARISH, ST. DENNIS CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 12 noon on Friday, February 27, 2026.
