Obituary

Stoughton - Veryl I. Pernot, age 81, of Stoughton, passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on March 7, 1943, in Stoughton, Wis., the daughter of Walter and Evie (Shafer) Zweifel.

Veryl was a graduate of Brooklyn High School. She enjoyed a 38-year career as a certified medical assistant. I worked with Veryl at the Dean Clinic for many years. She was a wonderful co-worker. I came from hospital nursing to clinic nursing, which is quite different. She was a great resource with some procedures and use of instruments I had not done before. She always had a smile and easy going manner. Veryl you will be missed. RIP.

Veryl was a blessing to our church family at Brooklyn Coummunity United Methodist Church! Her presence and spirit was a gift to us all to be able to worship together! Her faith has enabled her to reach the ultimate goal of becoming one with Jesus & God! The attached song file is in tribute to her, and as a remembrance of her to family and friends.
