John Norwell

My deep condolences to John's family. I am sorry for your loss. I worked for a decade with John as I served as Dane County Executive in the nineties. He was dedicated to our Dane County community and to the notion of public service. A talented public manager, John stood out as member of our county administration. And on a personal level, John was one of my favorite people to work with. Unfortunately I will be on a long planned trip on Thursday and it saddens me not to join in honoring him. He will be in my heart nurtured by such fond memories. Here’s to John.

I am very sorry about John's passing. When I was the Dane County Personnel Officer, I frequently worked with John and his predecessor, the late Paul Rapp, on a variety of Highway Department problems. They both were also golf nuts which I am one also. John was a good man with great integrity. I will miss seeing him at the County Retired Employee Breakfasts. May John get that elusive golf ace on the Elysian Fields golf course.
