Cheryl A Mueller

Monona - Cheryl Mueller, age 64, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024, at her home in Monona, Wis. A celebration of life is planned for a later date.

Cheryl was born on March 19, 1959, in Oshkosh, Wis., the third child of Roger and Nancy (Swanson) Penzenstadler. She attended St. Peter’s Elementary School and Oshkosh North High School. Cheryl was united in marriage to Rick Mueller on Jan. 29, 1977, in Colby, Wis. They moved to Menomonie, Wis., where her husband completed his education and where they started their family. Cheryl worked as a nurse’s assistant while the children were young and when she and Rick moved to Wautoma, Wis., she completed her education to become a registered nurse.  She worked for many years in long-term care.

Cheryl was an avid reader and always enjoyed participating in trivia nights, where she usually excelled. She enjoyed watching Wisconsin sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. But most of all, she loved being around her family.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Rick of Monona; three sons, Cavan of Appleton, Ben (Amy)  of Shelby Township, Mich., and Dylan of Madison; grandsons, Jackson and Logan; her father, Roger (Ginger); sisters, Sue (Karl) Turner of Portage, Barb (Harold) Paalman of Greenville, and Beth (Khrist) Caramanidis of Oshkosh; her brother, Pete Penzenstadler of Cottage Grove; step brothers, Brian (Linda) Konkel of Wild Rose and Jeff Konkel of Oshkosh; her aunts, Linda Penzenstadler of Oshkosh and Joyce Heney of Green Bay; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cheryl will be remembered for her kindness and her caring personality. She was truly beloved by her family and will be dearly missed. Cheryl’s memory will be etched in our hearts forever. We feel blessed to have been part of such a wonderful life.
