Obituary

FITCHBURG - Janice Christine (Brumm) Haynie, age 87, of Fitchburg, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Sylvan Crossings in Fitchburg. She was born on April 13, 1937, in Middleton, the daughter of Elmer and Helen (Punswick) Brumm.

Janice and her siblings grew up on the West side of Middleton on the Brumm Homestead that later became the Pope Farm Conservancy. She graduated from Middleton High School in 1954.  Janice loved her career as a secretary for the UW-Madison School of Chemistry. She would create baby quilts for friends and family that have continued to be passed on through generations. She spent her winters in Tucson to spend time with friends and enjoy the desert plants blooming.
