Obituary

MADISON - William “Bill” Carlson passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024.


Bill is survived by the love of his life, Mary, and they had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; his beloved children, Jen, John and Amanda; and his grandchildren who he so adored, Jordan, Mason, Jaya, Devin, Carson, Josie, Murphy and little Ella. He is also survived by his six sisters, Jeanne, Patti, Mary, Barbara, Ann and Carol, who will miss him dearly.


He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Carlson; and his sister, Susan.


Bill lived by the golden rule. He was so incredibly humble and selfless. We were so fortunate to have him in our lives. He made such an incredible impact on so many it’s hard to put into words.


A celebration of life will be held at GREAT DANE PUB, 876 Jupiter Drive, Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.


Donations will be made in Bill’s memory to the Goodman Community Center and Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek.

So sorry to hear of Bills passing. He was such a fun guy and I’ll always remember him coaching us in baseball and even soccer when we were little. He was always such a positive guy n more than once he pulled me aside and give ya talk when you’d be struggling at the plate of made an error. You could never walk away from those talks not smiling.
