I moved to Oregon, WI my last semester of high school. It’s hard being the new kid in a new high school especially when you are almost done with high school. Nobody would talk to me. Christy sat next to me in one of my classes. She was the first friend I made. She invited me to hang out with her outside of school. She made sure that her friends all knew I was her new friend. She never let her disability stop her. The first time she came to my house, I carried her downstairs on my back so she could she my bedroom. I remember how happy she was that I was strong enough to carry her. She got me through that last semester of high school. She was definitely a special soul! I am so sad her life was cut short, but I’m glad her pain is gone.

My deepest sympathy to all in this loss. She was a strong woman to endure such obstacle's life dealt her and to handle such pain. She is now pain free but will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Cherish the memories and take care. If I can do anything, please reach out to me. My love you all. . . . . Karen Knapton
