Obituary
MADISON - Douglas Eugene LaBelle, age 73, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2024. He was born on May 13, 1951, in Madison, the son of Eugene and Delores (Mathison) LaBelle.
Douglas graduated from Stoughton High School in 1970 and worked as a custodian for UW Hospital for 25 years. He was united in marriage to Lisa (Kowalski) Broehm in April of 1995.
Doug was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He cherished the time spent with his family. He also loved watching movies, especially westerns, fishing, playing chess and doing word searches. He had a passion for fixing cars and building model cars.
Douglas is survived by his daughter, Gabrielle LaBelle; stepson, Mark Broehm; grandchildren, Jayden and Anthony Broehm, and Kaylee and Kristianna Broehm; brothers, Dennis (Kay Mayfield) LaBelle, Dean (Jenny) LaBelle and Don (Tiffany) LaBelle; sister, Dawn (Andy) Marshall; niece, Isabel Marshall; nephew, Bryce LaBelle; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Delores; wife, Lisa Broehm; and stepson, Luke Broehm.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
