APPLETON- Brigitte Kovich, age 74, passed away on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI. She was born on Nov. 26, 1949, in Germany, the daughter of Erwin and Gertrud (Dressmann) Petkus.
Brigitte attended East High School in Madison, WI. She married Robert Kovich on July 14, 1986, in Madison, WI. Brigitte worked as a claims adjuster for American Family Insurance, retiring in 2009. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her favorite time of year was fall, she enjoyed walking through the neighborhood admiring the leaves changing colors. She loved spending time with family, especially her granddaughters.
Brigitte is survived by her daughter, Kerrie Hanko; sons, Andrew (Sarah) Mills and Richard Mills; grandchildren, Claire Mills and Helen Mills; brothers, Peter (Lisa Parks) Petkus and Richard (Paula) Petkus; and sister, Monika Petkus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and parents, Erwin and Gertrud.
