Obituary

MARSHALL - Jerome Joseph “Jerry” Anacker, age 58, of Marshall, passed away on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024. He was born in Madison on April 30, 1965, the son of Norman and Janet (Scheu) Anacker.


Jerry graduated from Columbus High School in 1983. He married Dawn (Neuberger) Anacker on Feb. 4, 2006, in Mexico. Jerry loved working in golf and enjoyed his time being a golf pro.


Jerry enjoyed being outdoors, boating, fishing, and golfing. He especially loved the time he spent with family and friends. Jerry was good at fixing things.


Jerry is survived by his wife, Dawn; son, Maddux Anacker; stepson, Coveyn Anacker; four sisters, Kathy Hansen, Karen (Michael) Wohlers, Theresa (Glen) Wohlers and Judy Anacker; four brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Anacker, Ronald (Roberta) Anacker, Chris (Carol) Anacker and Ben Anacker; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Janet.


A visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 11:00 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024. A graveside service will follow at ST. PATRICK CEMETERY, Cottage Grove, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.


In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Jerry’s name to the family would be appreciated.

Sorry to learn of Jerry's passing. It's been a long time, not sure if you (family, but Bob in particular) remember me, but I have many good memories of our time spent in high school and on the farm. My sympathy to all.

I am so sorry to hear this. Jerry was a great mentor to me, we enjoyed golfing together on more times then I can count. Jer bear, you will be missed. My thoughts and condolences are with your family.
