Obituary

STOUGHTON / OCONOMOWOC - Sheri J. Hestnes, age 61, passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024. She was born on June 6, 1962, in Stoughton, the daughter of Duane and Jean (Fosdahl) Hestnes.

Sheri graduated from Stoughton High School with the class of 1980. She married Michael Taylor in 1986, and together they had one daughter, Hillary. Sheri was a hard worker and over her working career was employed in the office at Monona Grove High School, the cosmetic counter at Boston Store East Towne Mall and in the office at Hatch Building Supply. She was most passionate about working on the horse farm in The Lake Country area outside of Milwaukee.

Sheri loved being outdoors. She had a unique sense of humor, and her sarcasm was top notch. She was witty, wonderfully unpredictable and was a free spirit. She loved being a grandma and spending time with the girls. She cared so deeply for her family.

Sheri is survived by her daughter, Hillary Taylor; grandchildren, Summer Long and Penelope Pacocha; mother, Jean Hestnes; brothers, Steven (Kathy) Hestnes and Scott (Kathleen) Hestnes; significant other, Dave Laskowski; and their beloved canine companion, Berkeley. She was preceded in death by her father, Duane.

A celebration of life is being organized, with more details coming soon.

I am so heartbroken to see that Sheri has passed. She was a breathe of crazy along with fresh air. She treated everyone with a love and kindness I won't ever forget. It seems another angel was needed. Hugs and love to Scooby, his wife and Momma Hestnes.
