Obituary
MADISON - Sharon L. Zintz (nee Pivett) passed away on Feb. 12, 2024, at the age of 82, in Madison, Wis. She was a kind-hearted, loving and strong-willed individual who was dedicated to her family. Sharon's career primarily focused on raising her family, but she also worked in food service at American Family and part time at Shopko.
Sharon's hobbies included gardening, cooking, and raising her family. She found joy in nurturing her plants and preparing delicious meals for her loved ones. Sharon was a devoted member of Trinity Lutheran in Madison, where she found solace and community.
Sharon is survived by her sons, Robert and Todd (Robin); her daughter, Lisa (Mike); and her son-in-law, Kelly. She was a cherished grandmother to Amber (RJ), Cody (Sarah), Angela (Dion), Nichole (Steve), Alicia (Charles), Amber (Joshua), Brittnay (Chris) and Miranda (Matthew); as well as 17 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her sister, Cheryl; many nieces, nephews; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her soulmate, Dean Zintz; parents, Anna and Robert Vickerman; father, Clarence Pivett; and siblings, Duwayne, Clarence and Sandra. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Raymond and Eleanor Zintz, Joyce and Don Dixon, Janet and Roy Carter, Pat Aschelman (Roger) and Dawn Clements.
Sharon will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her kind heart, love and strong-will remain an inspiration to all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
A graveside service will be held at HIGHLAND MEMORY GARDENS, 3054 County Highway BB, Cottage Grove, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024.
