Obituary

OREGON - Alex Logan Day, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Feb. 9, 2024. Alex was born on Sept. 26, 1991, to Timothy Day and Christi France-Day in Madison, Wis. Alex joined his older brother, Eric and soon they spent all their time together becoming inseparable.

At an early age, Alex’s family relocated to Oregon, Wis. Alex had a natural interest and ability in sports and enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, jumping and tumbling on their trampoline. He also contributed to various group sports programs, such as roller hockey and ice hockey - and was always thrilled with the win.

During adolescence, Alex began experimenting with substance use, which took him on a difficult path. Alex was a courageous young man, bravely facing life’s challenges with determination and resilience. He was a sensitive man who inspired and encouraged others on their path to recovery. Alex was a house manager for Sober Living, and he led numerous NA meetings. He was always there to listen and to help those who were also struggling with their sobriety. Alex will be remembered and missed dearly by those who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in our hearts forever.

Alex is survived by his parents, Timothy Day and Christi France-Day; his brother, Eric; his maternal grandmother, Betty France and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bruce France; and his paternal grandparents, John W. Day and Phyllis R. Day.

A Memorial Service in celebration of Alex’s life will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, Wis. on Saturday, May 25, 2024. The Day family will receive relatives and friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. A private interment for Alex will be held for immediate family.
