Obituary

BROOKLYN - Kevin Walter George, age 62, of Brooklyn, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 5, 2024. He was born on Sept. 8, 1961, in Stoughton, the son of Lonnie and Norma (Sharp) George.


Kevin graduated from Oregon High School in 1979. He married Jacqueline "Jackie" Vacha on Sept. 4, 1982, in Madison. Kevin worked at the Elk's Club in Madison as the head chef, then Uniroyal Engineering as a press operator and most recently as a custodian with the Oregon School District until his retirement in August of 2023. While working his other jobs, he was an EMT/IV Tech for Brooklyn EMS and Oregon Area Fire and EMS and was a member of the Stoughton Conservation Club.


Kevin loved hunting, fishing, camping and trail riding on his UTV and ATV up north Wisconsin.

He enjoyed watching the Badgers, Packers, Brewers and Bucks.


Kevin is survived by his wife, Jackie; daughter, Natasha (Scott) Jensen; son, Cory George; two grandchildren, Colton Jensen and Dana Jensen; two great-grandchildren, Natalie Ewers and Olivia Ewers; and brother, Mark George. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Norma; and son, Ryan Kevin George.

A visitation will be held at BROOKLYN FIRE STATION, 401 W. Main St., Brooklyn, from 12 noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2024.
 

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Brooklyn EMS would be appreciated by the family.

What a wonderful picture of Kevin. It truly captures his happy spirit. He was a loved and cherished family member and friend of the Anderson family. Our heart goes out to all of you for the many years to come living those firsts without a dad and husband.
