Obituary

LAKE DELTON / CLEARWATER, Fla. - Donna Mae Lindauer, age 94, passed away Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at Suncoast Hospice in Clearwater, Fla.  She was born on April 11, 1929, to the late Gilmore and Joyce (Alton) Liddicoat in Linden, Wis.  Donna graduated from Linden High School with the class of 1947.  She married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Royce Lindauer, in 1947.

Over the years, she worked in many office roles for different businesses. She was working for Morton, Nehls and Tierney, CPAs and Octopus Car Wash as a bookkeeper when she retired in 2013.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Royce Lindauer; parents, Gilmore and Joyce Liddicoat; brothers, Alton Liddicoat and Mark Liddicoat; and sisters, Barbara Liddicoat and Peggy Nelson.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deborah (Roger) Stamm and Tammy (Justin) Johnson; one son, Bruce Lindauer; five grandchildren, Nathan (Maria) Stamm, Adam Lindauer, Heather (Joe) Pettineo, Bryce (Anastasiia) Johnson and Brooke Johnson; one great-grandchild, Owen Stamm; and brothers, Paul (Sally) Liddicoat and Pete Liddicoat.

Her retirement years found her traveling between Wisconsin and Florida. She could also be found in the local casinos, but didn’t want to be called “Gambling Granny.” Her love of dogs and animals was only exceeded by her love and devotion to her family.

A private remembrance (per Donna’s request) will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Dear Lindauer family - I was thinking about Donna today. I thought I should I tell her that Ray died on Feb 12. Then I found her obituary. They died about a month apart. Donna was a wonderful person - Ray and I liked her so much. She and Barbara were so important to Morton, Nehls and Tierney for so many years. This truly is the end of an era.( Ray's obituary is at Dignity Funeral Home in Tampa) Sending heartfelt sympathy to all the family. Letty Morton
