Chue "Phoua" Yang

SUN PRAIRIE - Chue "Phoua" Yang passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2023. She was born on Jan. 10, 1934, to Chong Yao Yang and Ying Her, in Xiang Khouang, Laos.

Phoua was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking and caring for those she loved. Although she only had one daughter, Phoua actively co-parented ten other children with her husband, Youa Tong Xiong, and sister-wife, Pa Vang.

She is survived by her daughter, Kangying Her; son-in-law, Nhabee Her; one granddaughter, Duazong; and three grandsons, Toufue, Toujon and Toujames. She also has one granddaughter-in-law and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her four sisters, two brothers, and her husband, Youa Tong Xiong.

Visitations and services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, from 8:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024, and 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2024.
