Obituary

MADISON / MCFARLAND - Aaron E. Orvis, age 51, of Madison, passed away after a very courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on April 6, 1972, in Madison.

Aaron grew up in Monona and graduated from Monona Grove High School with the class of 1990. After high school he moved to Florida. He returned to Madison after a few years. Aaron’s love for the water drew him to work at Skipper Buds as a salesman.  During his 28 years, he maintained close relationships with his customers.

Aaron married Joanna "Jodi" Orvis on May 22, 2010. He loved riding his Harley, friends can't remember him not having one.  He was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed watching football.  Aaron loved going on vacations, especially to Puerto Rico and Florida. He organized many annual fun-filled activities for his friends, which they plan to carry on the tradition.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Jodi; daughter, Sage Mills of Minneapolis; mother, Connie (Orvis) Murphy of Madison; uncle, Kirk Orvis of Sun Prairie; aunt, Brenda Orvis of Fredericksburg, Va.; cousin, Heather (Mickael) Fontenau and their son, Matt Fontenau of Fredericksburg, Va.; cousin, Susan (William) Brinson of Campbell Hall, N.Y.; and many other friends and relatives.
