Obituary
POYNETTE - Lisa M. Roethke, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023. She was born on May 30, 1966, in Blue Island, Ill., the daughter of Richard and Sophia (Leja) Maier.
Lisa was a 1984 graduate of Richland Center High School and then earned her associate degree from UW - Richland Center. On Aug. 23, 1997, she married James Roethke in Poynette, Wis.
Lisa was employed as a facility manager for C & W Services. She was a member of the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA).
Lisa had a variety of interests including reading and taking in wild injured animals to care for alongside her pets. She took great pride in her gardening skills and colorful flowers but loved most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, James, survivors include her children, Kelly Maier and Jarrett (Emily) Roethke; grandchild, Aria Maier; her father, Richard Maier; her brother, Rick (Linda) Maier; and his children, Kyle, and Katelynn (Brian) Troxel; and many friends and family members. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sophia Marie Maier.
A celebration honoring Lisa's life will be announced at a later date.
