Obituary
FOND DU LAC - Brandon De Haan, age 41, of Fond du Lac, passed peacefully, under the grace of God, and in the loving arms of his spouse, Destiny. He departed for the ultimate frontier on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023. He was born on Dec. 30, 1982, in Madison, Wis., the son of Daniel Lade and Elizabeth De Haan.
Brandon was an extraordinary Renaissance man driven by passion, faith, and knowledge. At an early age, he possessed an innate ability to tinker with technology and unravel complex problems independently. He had a vivid curiosity for understanding and exploration at a young age.
His family and friends admire his talents, words, and vision. Brandon’s sung music and creative acoustic compositions brought many joyous moments. He traveled as a sentient naturalist, coincidently as his ancestors, planting seeds along his way. Step by step he filled his path with love and life in the comfort of nature. Brandon embraced cultures’ curiosities, fostered friendships, and cultivated “Truth, Beauty, and Goodness.” His charismatic wisdom gathered loyal friendships, aspiring mindfulness and peace. He genuinely cared and loved deeply.
Brandon’s work and academic life was Life. He did not remain in grade school for long and tested out of high school. He sought theology, pursued ministry, and contemplated philosophies. He worked in a variety of trades including telecommunications, construction, manufacturing, retail, and professional pet husbandry. He mostly enjoyed working as a musician and, lastly, a craftsman woodworker. He was truly brilliant and an authentic man with talent.
Brandon is survived by his spouse, Destiny; his parents, Daniel and Elizabeth; grandparents, Michael and Terry De Haan; aunts, Selina De Haan and Sara De Haan-Umhoefer; and uncles, Scott Lade, Eric Lade, John Umhoefer, Jonathan Ross, and tacos.
Brandon is received in the grace of his dearly loved grandparents, Curt Lade and Alice (Kim) Lade.
A celebration of his life will be scheduled later in 2024.
