Greetings and condolences from the surviving children (Margo, Bruce, David A.) of David Clayton Fellows ... son of Elbert Gardner Fellows and brother to Avis Amanda Fellows, who I believe married Herbert Harvey Gottschall in 1913 (and died in 1924?). We are connected, and I enjoyed being in touch with Patti over the years. Praying God's peace for your family.

What a wonderful tribute to Patti! She was a treasure to the whole community and beyond. So interesting, intelligent, creative, and kind—-and raised a wonderful family. My deepest sympathy to the family and all those who know and love Patti.

In 1986 Shelagh invited Dave and I to Patti and Bob's home and we were treated like members of the family. We also saw them once in Vermont. Thought Christmas cards and phone calls we got to know Patti and it was easy to see that like her daughter, our good friend Shelagh, her mom was a very special and unique person. She spread joy to all she met and she will be missed by many. Patti did love the journey when she traveled and her journey through life was a good one. She blazed a trail for many. We are glad we got to know her. We are so sorry for the loss of their mom and Gran for Shelagh, Steve, Ceilidh, Grady and Teryn.

My deepest heart felt sympathy at the loss of a dear friend. Patti and I took many walking classes of wildflowers, which we both loved. We even double-dated in high school. She will be sadly missed. Sadie Paepke-Hefty

I extend my deepest sympathies to you, Patti’s immediate and extended family. Patti’s legacy will live on, through the love and wisdom she has passed on to you. May you all find strength in her memory. It has been a blessing for me to know Patti, my second cousin, over the years. As I vaguely recall from my childhood days, Patti’s mother, Grace (Chrislaw), and my mother, Esther (Chrislaw), visited each other from time to time. And then there were those fabulous Chrislaw-Herr potluck picnics each summer at Lodi’s Habermann Park. While I can’t specifically recall Patti from then, she surely must have attended. But, as I have since gathered, we each were then shy farm kids. But I do clearly remember Patti as a school mate at both Lodi HS and at the U of Wisconsin. Further, Patti’s husband-to-be and I were dorm mates then at the University’s Conover House. After those halcyon school years, Patti must have been well into her passion for genealogy, as she corresponded diligently with me to keep track of all the births, weddings, addresses of my children, and then further extending her reach to include our grandchildren as well. It wasn’t until circa 2003 that I saw Patti again (following a Chrislaw-Herr Reunion, then held in Portage). We met at her Pine Crest View Farm on Chrislaw Road, outside of Lodi. There was a lot of catching up to do on our respective lives. It was so good to see her once again! Our last meeting, in the summer of 2022 was a more somber occasion, with Patti recovering from a concussion. My daughter, Sue, was with me, looking to gather information for her own family tree. Patti was most accommodating and regaled us with stories and accounts of her lifetime experiences at the farmstead. Although our interactions have, by circumstance, been limited, I will dearly cherish Patti’s life-long friendship. Richard Wigglesworth (wisiwigg@icloud.com) 1986 N Ramblewood Pt Hernando, FL 34442
