Nichole Dorn

FITCHBURG - Nichole Marie “Nikki” Dorn, age 39, joined her baby Ariella in heaven on Dec. 22, 2023. She was born March 2, 1984, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Thomas and Toni (Olson) Dorn. Nikki graduated from Madison East High School in 2002 and earned her associate degree in nursing from Madison College. She became an LPN shortly after and worked at several nursing homes throughout her career. At her proudest, Nikki worked on the front line in New Jersey during the COVID pandemic.

Nikki was fiercely devoted to her daughters and was happiest spending time with them. She beamed with pride at the accomplishments of her oldest daughter, Aliyanna, and her progress in college. Her daughter Jada was Nikki’s “mini-me,” and she looked forward to watching her grow.

Nikki is survived by her parents, Thomas and Toni Dorn; daughters, Aliyanna Dorn and Jada Starlin; siblings, Mike (Rebecca) Dorn and Belinda Dorn; grandmother, Penelope Olson; niece, Taylor Dorn; nephews, Jake Dorn and Brady Dorn; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many great friends including bestie, Tanya McCullum, and extended family, Mark and Alicia Roberts and family.

She is now in heaven with her daughter, Ariella Jada Dorn Swain; grandfather, LaVern Olson; grandparents, LeRoy and Sylvia Bartels; and very special cousin, Tommy.

Our hearts are broken that you are not here with us. You will be forever in our hearts. We know you are dancing in the sky with Ariella.

A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 12 noon on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2023. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the celebration on Thursday.
