Obituary

MADISON - Harold Peter “Pete” Dahl, age 62, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at Agrace HospiceCare surrounded by his family. He was born on July 11, 1961, in Madison, Wis., the son of Ruthann (Hammersley) and Harold P. Dahl. He married his true love, Jean (Esser), on May 14, 1988.


Pete is survived by his wife, Jean; children, Brittany and Keith (Tana) Dahl; mother, Ruthann; and siblings, Jeannine (Michael) Daley, Jeannette (Dave) Swenson, Paul (Dawn) Dahl and Janice (Ron) Koplin. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday.
 

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary's Hospital, Agrace HospiceCare, and all other members of Peter’s healthcare team.

I’ll miss Pete greatly. He was the first physical plant supervisor I met when I returned to Madison in 2020. He was a very kind man, generous with his time, always willing to talk, and teach. Truly it was a blessing, knowing him. -TimK

I worked with Pete at Pertzborn plumbing. We did a few jobs together and I went to UW Plumbing shop and he followed me there. He was a great guy to work with. Pete will be surely missed you have my condolences.
