OREGON - Eleanor Marie Finhert, age 80, of Oregon, passed away on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at Skaalen Nursing and Rehab. She was born on July 31, 1943, in Dodgeville, the daughter of Obert and Lenore (Thompson) Runden.
Eleanor graduated from Hollandale High School in 1961. She was united in marriage to Arne Martin Finhert in May of 1962. They were blessed with two children, Lynette Schaefer of Conrath, and Eric Finhert of Oregon. Eleanor worked as an underwriter for Credit Union National Association (CUNA) retiring in 2003.
Eleanor is survived by her husband, Arne; children, Lynette and Eric; granddaughter, Angelique Tourdot; sister, Louise (Art) Whitford; brother, Richard (Sharon) Runden; brother-in-law, Tom Finhert; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In keeping with Eleanor’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will be held later in the spring of 2024.
Memorials may be gifted in Eleanor’s name to New Hope Lutheran Church of Hollandale.
