Obituary
MADISON - Roger Conner, age 93, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at home with his family by his side. He was born on March 3, 1930, in Madison, Wis., the son of Floyd and Sally (McNulty) Conner.
Roger graduated from Central High School in 1948. He served in the U.S. Army, 3rd Infantry stationed in Korea. He married Delores Drengson on Oct. 10, 1953, in Madison.
Roger worked for the City of Madison Water Dept. from 1959 until his retirement in 1992.
Roger enjoyed being with family, weightlifting, sports (Packers, Badgers, Cubs, Brewers) and watching boxing. He also loved being outdoors working in his yard.
Roger is survived by daughter, Karen Butler; son, David (Cheri) Conner; granddaughters, Angela (Randy) Binning and Jessica Ward; grandsons, Dan (Casey) Conner and Mike (Jenny) Conner; and great-grandchildren, Conner and Landon Binning, Owen Ward, Calvin, Carson and Cecelia Conner, Braden, Austin and Ryleigh Conner. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores Conner (2017); and mother-in-law, Myrtle Drengson (1994).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to family, Mallory, RN and Leslie, CSW and the staff at Agrace HospiceCare for their care and allowing dad to remain at home which was his wish.
