To the Family of Al Bishop, I had the honor of working with Al during our careers at the Wisconsin State Patrol. First as Troopers back in the early 1980s and later in the early 2000s at the WSP State Headquarters. Al was a highly respected law enforcement leader. His work with law enforcement agencies across the state helped improve the safety on our roadways and in our communities. I will have fond memories of our friendship and our time together. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Sincerely, David Collins Retired Superintendent Wisconsin State Patrol

I met Al in 1977 when I was a new State Trooper assigned to the same troop. I didn't take long for me to figure out that Al was a good guy! I was only with the State Patrol for a short time but managed to run into Al a few times at various events the Madison area. He was the same old Al after he retired from the Patrol. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Al's family, may he rest in peace. Jim Parker, ex-171.
